7.1
Checking Mounting and Installation
Check the device for the following:
▶
External damage
▶
Correct, secure fit on the BusRail
▶
Specified tightening torque of the safety screws (Torx) (1.2 Nm)

Adjusting the Communication Protocol and Station Address

Remove the 9442/32 CPU module (if equipped), see the "Dismounting" chapter in the
9442/32 CPU operating instructions.
Rotary switch S1 to S3
The rotary switches S1 to S3 are located on the left slot (slot 0) on the socket below the CPU;
see the figure. This protects them from being subjected to unauthorised modification during
operation. The rotary switches S1 to S3 are at position 0 when delivered.

During realignment, select the communication protocol for each S1 rotary switch as
follows; see the table
