Sharing ST Micro Connect with EMU3 probe and ICC Add-on
Your ST Micro Connect box is the main component for using both the EMU3 probe for
emulation and the ICC Add-on for in-circuit communication.
You can use the same ST Micro Connect box in both cases if you follow these guidelines:

Use only one connection at a time, either the EMU3 probe or ICC add-on connection.

When switching from the EMU3 probe to the ICC Add-on, follow the procedure below.
Switching from EMU3 probe configuration to ICC Add-on configuration:
1.
Switch off the application board.
2.
Switch off the ST Micro Connect box.
3.
Disconnect the EMU3 probe from the application board socket.
4.
Place your ST7 in its socket on the application board.
5.
Plug the ICC cable into the HE10 connector on your application board.
6.
Switch on the ST Micro Connect box.
7.
Switch on the application board.

Automatic firmware updates
The ST Micro Connect box and EMU3 probe have been designed so that their respective
firmware is updated automatically. Your emulator firmware may require updating if you have
changed the TEB or if you update your version of STVD7. The update is done automatically
if you start a debugging session and STVD7 detects an old firmware version. For more

C peripheral is used, you must limit the pull-up resistor to
1.5 kOhms.
4.7.2 Memory

The memory zones listed below can only be configured as RAM, ROM, Non-existent
memory (NEM), vectors or stack.

Specific MCUs or families of MCUs may be subject to emulation limitations or discrepancies.
