Connect Node 1 and 2 on the G3-PLC GUI
The first action to perform with the G3-PLC GUI is to add two nodes. Click on the small
cross on the top of the empty panel twice to open two tabs, as described in
For the following examples, the Node 1 enhanced Com port is mapped on the COM57 of the
personal computer and the Node 2 enhanced Com port is mapped on the COM59.
10.3
PHY layer data exchange
To be able to execute a PHY command, the Node 1 and 2 working modes need to be set to
the PHY mode, as explained in
.
Now the direction of the data flow needs to be defined. Because it is a point-to-point
communication, there must be one node acting as a sender and one acting as a receiver.
The Node 1 may be configured as the sender, and the Node 2 as the receiver.
For the Node 1, as shown in
, go into the PHY menu / PLME_Control panel (1) to
configure the state of the node. Check the TXON_RXOFF (2) parameter and click on the
PLME_SET_TRX_STATE.Request button (3).
