1 Product Overview
1.1 Product Function
The GT200-DP-RS gateway enables data to establish communication between the Modbus or universal serial
devices with RS-485/RS-232/RS-422 interface and PROFIBUS DP master such as Siemens PLC. It also supports
data/status monitoring and debugging.
1.2 Product Features
Wide Applications: Any devices with RS-485/RS-232/RS-422 interface can be connected to PROFIBUS DP
network through the GT200-DP-RS. For example, Variable-frequency Drive with Modbus interface, Motor
starting protector, and transmitters.
Easy to use: Users don’t need to know details of PROFIBUS or Modbus protocol, just configure the gateway
according to the user manual then establish the communication.
Transparent communication: Users can refer to the mapping relations between PROFIBUS DP data area and
Modbus/serial data area to realize the transparent data communication.
1.3 Technical Specifications
[1] Acts as a PROFIBUS DP slave.
Supports PROFIBUS DPV0.
As a PROFIBUS DP slave, baud rate is self-adaptive. Maximum baud rate is 12Mbps.
Maximum Input data: 244 Bytes
Maximum Output data: 244 Bytes
[2] Supports Modbus master, Modbus slave or Universal modes in serial interface. Supports transparent data
communication between PROFIBUS DP PLC and serial devices.
[3] Serial interface: one RS-485/422 and one RS-232, half-duplex. Supported baud rate: 300, 600, 1200, 2400,
