IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

If the gear shift lever does not move from the

“P”

position

in spite of turning the ignition key to the

“ON”

position and

depressing the brake pedal, take the following steps to
manually shift the lever.

1. Stop the engine and apply the parking brake.

2. Remove the shift selector cover. While pressing the so-

lenoid valve section, shift the lever into the

“N”

position.

3. While the shift lever is engaged in the

“N”

position, start

the engine. Release the parking brake, shift the lever into
the

“D”

position and drive off.

Shift Lever Lock Release

SHIFT LEVER LOCK RELEASE AND SAFETY MODE RESET

If the shift lever is stuck in the

“P”

position, take the above steps

to drive your vehicle. Then, you must have your vehicle checked
by Ssangyong Dealer or Ssangyong Authorized Service Center.
