Check tread depth regularly. To help you
detect when the tyres should be replaced,
the tyres on your vehicle have built-in tread
wear indicators that appear between the
tread grooves when the tread is 1.6mm or
less. The tyres should be replaced when the
tread worn down as far as one of the wear
indicators. The wear indicator’s position is
indicated by markings on the tyre side wall.
For safety reasons, it is recommended that
the tyres be replaced when their tread depth
has worn down to 2~3mm.
When replacing the tyres, the radial tyres
should be fitted in pairs, or for preference
in sets.

Make sure that both tyres on an axle are the
same size, the same design, and the same
make and have the same tread pattern.

WARNING

Mixing tyres could cause you to lose
control while driving.
Using tyres of different sizes may also
cause damage to the vehicle.
Be sure to use the same size and type
tyres on all wheels.

WARNING

Driving on worn, old or damaged
