1. Place the rear wheel into the rear dropouts. Rotate the wheel so that the connector is positioned
straight down.
2. Slide one retaining washer onto each side of the axle, with the tab of the washer positioned inside the
opening of the dropout.
3. install both axle nuts and use a 15 mm wrench to tighten to 30-40 n
•
m (266-350 in-lb).
C h A I N I N S t A L L A t I o N
• Use a singlespeed chain only.
• Size and install the chain according to your chain manufacturer’s instructions.
• Make sure your chain has the proper tension and is not excessively tight in any single spot through
the drivetrain.
• EMATiC is designed for a singlespeed drivetrain only and is not to be used with front or rear
derailleurs.
• A chain tensioner is required for vertical dropouts.
