BASE

SKYDIVE

Innie-Outie Zip System

For BASE mode, you have the option of

zipping the front of your harness system

inside the suit: place the shoulders of your

harness inside the front of the suit as shown.

For Skydiving, you MUST jump your harness

/ handles outside the front of your suit. Zip

the front of the suit behind the harness MLW.

Chest Strap width in BASE mode

Serious damage to the zipper system can occur as a result of hard openings, and maladjusted

chest straps. A too-wide chest strap or a violent opening could cause your risers to over-stress the

flex panels at the shoulder. Tune your equipment and your airspeed for consistent openings. If you

are getting slammed on openings, you are doing something wrong. Please feel free to ask us for

custom advice on this, if it is needed.

Airfoil Cross-Section (“Arm Foam”) Options

Your CORVID is shipped with 5mm black foam, which is inserted in the arms. The 5mm sheet foam

helps to smooth out the leading edge of your wingsuit. It is only moderately restrictive during the

pull and riser access. The 5mm foam is suitable for BASE jumping once you have become current

in the suit in the BASE environment.

NO FOAM:

Recommended for your first BASE jumps on the suit. For your first BASE jumps, we recommend

removing the leading-edge foam. This will allow you the easiest BOC access, and the best

chances of reaching your risers and toggles. The 5mm foam is suitable for BASE jumping once

you have become current in the suit in the BASE environment.

AIRFOIL FOAM:

The removable airfoil cross section foam should only be used once you feel confident in the

CORVID at all angles and in all modes of flight. We recommend it for skydiving. The airfoil cross

section may reduce range of motion during deployment, and therefore it should only be BASE

jumped with extreme caution. With the foam installed in the suit, the arms will fit snugly.
