Installing the Induction cooktop
Installation of the induction cooktop, electric cords, and connecting to the power mains must be done by competent
professionals. Connect only one appliance per power outlet or dimension the wiring (see Chapter 14 Technical
Specifications). The local building and fire code regulations apply.
• The countertop may be no thicker than 30 mm.
• The induction cooktop must be installed horizontally.
• The minimum distance between the ventilation opening of the counter and the nearest wall must be at least
100 mm.
• Before installing the induction cooktop, make sure that the ceramic surface is not damaged. Otherwise the
appliance must be replaced.
The minimum space below the countertop must be 150 mm. The minimum distance between two or more
appliances should be at least 200 mm, in order to facilitate greater comfort while cooking or warming. The warm
exhaust air should be able to escape from an opening at least 10 x 10 cm large. Use appropriate airflow to prevent
the ventilator from taking in the warm exhaust air.
Cut the required number of openings in the countertop according to the drawing. Close the gap between the ceramic
surface and the countertop with a sufficiently heat-resistant silicone sealant. Ensure that all air vents are free to
prevent the induction elements from overheating and switching off automatically. If overheating occurs, the induction
cooktop must cool off before it can be used again.
