2. Connect safety chains in a crossed pattern to the towing
vehicle.
3. Insert the light wire plug in the receptacle on the towing
vehicle.
4. Activate the 4-way hazard lights and confirm that both the left
and right lights are working properly.
5. The log Splitter is now ready to be towed on the road, to
maximum speed of 85 KM/H.
2.56 Rear Hitch
The Rear Hitch is a utility hitch that can be utilized for off-road use
only. It can be used to tow other machinery or utility trailers. If
installation is not completed by a Split-Fire technician, follow
installation manual associated with the option.
Rear Hitch Safety
- Do NOT use for on-road use.
- Do NOT tow machinery / trailers faster than 40 KM/H with
rear hitch.
- Do NOT tow items with a tongue weight over 100 LBS
- Do NOT tow items with a gross weight over 800 LBS
Rear Hitch Operation
The Rear Hitch is a static option that allows the ability to tow an extra
implement when needed. The operator must ensure that the
implement falls within the safety guidelines, and then can connect the
implement via the farm style hitch and a hitch pin.
