Learn IR remote control
The volume potentiometer of the Elector is motorized and can be operated by
any infrared (IR) remote control.
Programming of the Elector to your remote control is easy and takes just two
steps – one for each function: to lower the volume and increase the volume
Press the LEARN IR-REMOTE button (infrared programmable volume).
Power LED now lights up brighter and the Volume control moves fully counter clockwise.
Step 1/2:
Point your remote control towards the VU display and push the
button you wish to use to
lower
the volume. The Power LED lights up once per
push. Press the same button repeatedly until the Power LED lights up three
times within a short interval – programming of this button is then completed.
Step 2/2:
Point your remote control towards the VU display and push the
button you wish to use to
increase
the volume. The Power LED lights up once
per push. Press the same button repeatedly until the Power LED lights up three
times within a short interval – programming of this button is then completed.
Learn mode ends automatically after the second button is learned.
DIP switches
You can use the DIP switches on the rear panel to make the following basic
settings:
DIP switch 1: OFF = The level of the RCA PREAMP OUTPUTS is adjusted with the
volume control.
DIP switch 1: ON = The level of the RCA PREAMP OUTPUT is fixed (Unity Gain).
DIP switch 2: OFF = The AMP CTL connector supplies low current.
This (default) setting can be used to switch an SPL Performer s800 power amplifier on and off.
DIP switch 2: ON = The AMP CTL connector supplies a high current.
This setting can be used to switch power amplifiers with 12V triggers (e.g. SPL Performer m1000) on and off.
CAUTION: Do not use this setting to turn an SPL Performer s800 power amplifier on or off.
