5. Unpack & Inspect

      Your WAter Softener
    

Inspect the water softener for any shipping damage. If damage is found, notify the transportation 

company and request a damage inspection. Damage to cartons should also be noted. 

Handle the softener unit with care. Do not drop the unit or set on sharp, uneven projections on the floor. 

Do not turn the softener unit upside down.

IF THERE IS A LOSS IN WATER PRESSURE WHEN THE SOFTENER 

UNIT IS INITIALLY PLACED IN SERVICE, THE SOFTENER TANK MAY 

HAVE BEEN LAID ON ITS SIDE DURING TRANSIT. IF THIS OCCURS, 

BACKWASH THE SOFTENER TO ‘RECLASSIFY’ THE MEDIA. 

NOTE

The manufacturer is not responsible for damages in transit. Small parts, needed to install the softener, 

are in a parts bag.To avoid loss of the small parts, keep them in the parts bag until you are ready to 

install.
