QuadPlex User Guide

All
QuadPlex
devices are configured as follows:
Standalone unit:
Receives power from the external power supply.
Is controlled by the
QuadPlex
application that is installed on a remote PC.
PCIe card:
Receives power from the Galileo or Zio W4000 device in which it is installed.
Requires its own Ethernet connection that is separate from and in addition to the Galileo
or Zio W4000 Ethernet connection.
Is controlled by the
QuadPlex
application that is installed on a remote PC. You cannot
control a
QuadPlex
PCIe card from the Galileo or Zio W4000 device that includes that
card.
IP address:
By default,
QuadPlex
devices receive IP address assignments via Dynamic Host
Control Protocol (DHCP). You may configure
QuadPlex
devices to use static IP addresses.
Multiple subnet support:
All
QuadPlex
devices within the same subnet are detected using
the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) protocol. Devices installed across multiple subnets must
be verified on a subnet-by-subnet basis.
Firmware:
Be sure to update the formware on your
QuadPlex
device(s) before use, as

application system requirements, and then guides through
installing the software on a remote PC.
2.6.1
System Requirements
The remote PC on which you are installing the
QuadPlex
application must meet all of the following
requirements:
Operating System:
Windows® Server® 2019, Windows® Server® 2016, Windows® 10
Standard (64-bit), Windows® 10 Professional (64-bit), Windows® 10 Enterprise (64-bit), or
Windows® 10 IoT.
Network:
The remote PC must be connected to the same subnet as the
QuadPlex
device(s)
that it will be controlling, and those devices must be reachable from the host PC.
Rights:
You may need administrator rights to install or uninstall certain software. See your
Windows documentation or contact your system administrator for assistance, if needed.
