Testing Procedures
Important:
If the detector is exposed to a flame simulator, the alarm and
accessory relays and 0
–
20mA are activated during the simulation.
Therefore, automatic extinguishing systems and any external devices which
may be activated during this process must be disconnected.

To perform Flame Simulator Test:

Power up the system and wait up to 60 seconds for the detector to turn
to a normal state. The Power LED turns on.

Aim the SPECTREX Flame Simulator Model FS-1400 at the target point of
the detector such that the radiation emitted by it is facing directly
towards the detector. (See
on page 75).

Press the operation button once. After few seconds, a successful test
shows the results listed in Table 19.
