Step 1
Safety first! Before you begin the installation, make sure that the vehicle is in park (or neutral for a manual
transmission) with the parking brake set. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and verify that all components
that are listed are present. Note: This kit was designed and tested on a stock engine without any custom tuning
done to the engine computer. Removing the battery cable may erase the programmed radio stations. The anti-
theft code will need to be entered into some radios after the battery cable is connected. The anti-theft code can
typically be found in the owner’s manual or at your local dealership.
Step 2
Lift the engine cover up to release
the clips holding it in place and
remove the engine cover from the
vehicle.
Step 4
Remove the intake hose from the
vehicle.
Step 3
Disconnect the quick disconnect
hose at the air box. Loosen the
hose clamps that hold the air intake
in place. Then release the plastic
clip that holds the coolant hose
onto the intake tube.
Step 5
Lift up to release the mounting
studs holding the air box and lift the
air box out of the vehicle.
Step 6
Cut the rubber edge seal into a 15” length piece and a 29” length piece.
Install the 29” piece on the edge of the heat shield as shown. Then install
the 15” piece into the hole in the heat shield. Some trimming may be
necessary. Then install the 3 plastic mounts onto the heat shield.
