Inserting the battery
1. Insert the battery in the battery receptacle until it’s locked.
2. Ensure the battery indicator light is illuminated. If the battery light does not
illuminate, refer to the troubleshooting section .
3. When removing the battery, depress the locking tabs and withdraw the
battery.
Battery Indicator Light
Your Spear and Jackson nailer is fitted with a battery indicator light. The light not only indicates the
state of charge of the battery, it also indicates the operation of the cooling fan and if the nailer is
overheating
.
Note: If the nailer is left unattended with the battery fitted for more than 75 seconds, the nailer will
enter sleep mode and the indicator light will stop flashing. This is to conserve battery power.
1. Blue lamp solid
:
Normal operation (fan operating).
2. Red / Blue lamps flash alternately: Indication of overheating.
3. Red lamp flashing:
Stop work immediately due to overheating.
4. Red lamp solid: Low battery. Recharge battery or replace with a
fully charged battery
Battery
Battery: 7.2V DC. One battery with full charge will nail an average of 4000 nails.
Note: To ensure a proper electrical connection, ensure that the battery terminals
are clean and free from dirt build up and corrosion.
