4 Safety instructions

Read this document and the accompanying operating instructions carefully and espe-

4.1 General

The product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any
accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:

– is visibly damaged,

– is no longer working properly,

– has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or

– has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.

Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous playing mater-
ial for children.

Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.

Protect the appliance from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, steam and solvents.

4.2 Installation

In case of doubt, do not perform installation yourself; leave it to a professional.

Observe the enclosed installation instructions.

Check the contents of the packaging before assembling the product. Do not assemble the product if
any parts are missing.

Make sure that no unauthorised persons such as playing children are in the installation area during in-
stallation.

Choose a suitable and sufficiently large installation site. The installation should be carried out on a
horizontal, firm, dry, and clean surface. If necessary, use a protective underlay at the installation site
to protect the product and the floor from scratches. The improperly selected installation site can cause
personal injury or property damage!

Use care when assembling and/or installing! The product has some sharp edges and there is a risk of
injury!

Perform the work with two people because the TV cart and TV set are heavy. Additional lifting tools or
a third person may be necessary depending on the weight.

Only perform the works required to install (or adjust) the TV cart. Never attempt to perform any altera-
tions or repairs. Some TV carts contain heavily preloaded metal springs. In case of improper disas-
sembly, there is a risk of serious injuries!

Before starting the installation, check that there are suitable mounting options for the TV cart on the
back of the TV set.

As a rule, the existing base of the TV set must be removed before mounting the TV set on a TV cart.
In this case, follow the operating instructions for your TV set.

Place the TV set flat with its display side down on a soft, clean surface so that there is no pressure or
scratches on the display. Use a suitable underlay to protect valuable furniture surfaces during installa-
tion. After that, remove the existing base, which is fixed with screws or clips depending on the TV set.

Set/tighten the brakes on the TV cart, if any.

Make sure that the correct screws are used when installing the TV cart on the back of the TV set.
They must have the proper thread for the TV set and must not be too long, otherwise the TV set will
be damaged. However, the screws must not be too short, otherwise there will be no secure connec-
tion. The screws should be screwed into the corresponding thread of the TV set with at least 5 com-
plete 360° thread turns.

In general, appropriate screws are included for the TV cart or the TV set; in individual cases, how-
ever, other commercially available screws are required depending on the TV set.

Do not apply force when tightening as this may destroy the TV set and result in loss of warranty/guar-
antee!

For the avoidance of any doubt as to the proper screw length, we recommend that you contact the TV
set manufacturer or a corresponding specialist.

Use extreme care when installing as falling and/or overturning of the TV set and TV cart can not only
cause costly consequential damage, but also increase the risk of injury!

If there are any glass components, handle them with extreme care. Glass can break. Risk of injury!

Lay all TV set cables so that they are not jammed or kinked.

Do not overtighten the screws. Overtightening causes damage to the thread and can adversely affect
the strength of the screws.

Check all screw fastenings from time to time (at least every 3 months). Screw fastenings may eventu-
ally loosen over time due to the adjustment and handling of the TV set and/or the TV cart. Always en-
sure that the product is in a stable and safe condition.

4.3 Use

Do not apply force when handling/adjusting the TV set and/or the TV cart as this may cause damage
to the TV set.

Do not press on the TV set display when handling/adjusting!

Do not overload the TV cart. Take note of the manufacturer's specifications for the maximum weight
and/or size of the TV set.

Tighten brakes (if applicable) after moving in place.

Use on an even surface.

Do not use the TV cart to lean or hold on it.

Do not attach any objects to the TV mount of the TV cart other than the designated TV set.

Observe the safety notes in the operating instructions for the TV set.

TV sets generate heat. Risk of fire! Take appropriate precautions with regard to heat dissipa-
tion and fire prevention.

Certain surfaces can be damaged or discoloured as a result of heat dissip-

ation. Take appropriate protective measures.

5 Cleaning and care

1. Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.

NOTICE! Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
