PRIOR TO INITIAL OPERATION
▪ Make sure the power supply voltage corre
-
sponds to the value indicated on the name
plate with technical data of the tool.
▪ Always check the position of ON/OFF switch.
The power tool must be connected to the
power supply socket only when this switch is
in OFF position. If the plug is connected to
a receptacle while the power switch is in the
ON position, the power tool will start operat-
ing immediately, which could cause a serious
accident.
▪ Make sure that the cord and the plug are in
order. If the replacement of the supply cord is
necessary, this has to be done by the manu-
facturer or his agent in order to avoid a safety
hazard.
WARNING:
Always switch off and un-
plug the power tool prior to any adjustment,
servicing or maintenance.
▪ In case the work area is remote from the pow
-
er source, use as short as practicable exten-
sion cord with proper cross-section.
▪ Check that the auxiliary handle is properly
mounted and reliably tightened.
SWITCHING ON - SWITCHING Off
Brief activation
▪ Switching on: press ON/OFF switch 12.
▪ Switching off: release ON/OFF switch 12.
Continuous use
▪ Switching on: with lever 10 turned to the right
press ON/OFF switch 12 and in pressed posi
-
tion lock it by button 13.
▪ Switching off: press ON/OFF switch 12 once
and release it immediately.
STEPLESS ELECTRONIC RPM CON-
TROL
Light pressure on ON/OFF switch 12 results in
low rotation speed, further pressing the switch
results in stepless increase of the rpm to maxi-
mum upon reaching the extreme position.
SELECTION Of RPM VALUE
The necessary speed can be preselected by ro-
tating the regulator dial 11 in direction towards
“G” for increasing, and towards “A” for decrea-
sing the speed, thus ensuring the optimum
mode for drilling in different materials - metal,
wood, plastics, etc.
REVERSING
Prior to operation always check the direction of
rotation.
The extreme position of lever 10 to the right is
equivalent to clockwise rotation, the extreme
position to the left - to anti-clockwise rotation.
When the ON/OFF switch is depressed lever
10 can not be actuated. Reversing can be per-
formed only when the spindle is not rotating!
During operation with anti-clock rotation (left di-
rection) the switch trigger has limited run and the
machine can operate with revolutions from posi-
tion “A” to “E” on the electronic regulator 11. The
lock-on button can operate only if the elec tronic
regulator 11 is in positions from “A” to “E”.
OPERATION MODE SELECTION
Only at standstill or stopping machine!
Press the release button 5 on mode selector
switch 6 and rotate the switch to select:
▪ Drilling - drilling in metal, wood, plastics, etc.
▪ Hammer drilling - hammer drilling in concrete,
stone, etc.
▪ Chiselling - chiselling grooves in concrete and
demolishing.
▪ Adjusting the chisel - to avoid operator’s fa
-
tigue, insert and fix the chisel in the necessary
position.
INSERTING AND fASTENING SDS
PLUS DRILL BITS
Pull backward the dust cup of socket 2 and in-
sert the SDS plus drill bit until stop. Ensure that
the socket grooves correspond to the shank
channels and release the cup to fix the drill bit.
A special device prevents extracting the drill bit,
without performing the above-described proce-
dure.
INSERTING AND fASTENING DRILL
BITS WITH STRAIGHT SHANKS INTO
THE CHUCK
Insert adapter 3 into the SDS plus socket 2 in
the above described manner. Screw the three-
jaw chuck onto adapter 3 and fix it by securing
screw 1. In this configuration the rotary hammer
can operate in “drill bit” mode.
for three-jaw chucks
By turning the collar of chuck III clockwise or
anti-clockwise the jaws move to a position en-
suring inserting the bit shank. Rotate the collar
of chuck II clockwise to tighten the drill bit shank.
Fix the drill bit finally into the chuck by means of
