Please follow below steps to disable on-board VGA under BIOS and remove all VGA 

drivers under Safe Mode to prevent PCI VGA card conflict issue.

Due to each motherboard manufacturer utilizes a different BIOS, please read the 

motherboard manual to learn the way to access BIOS and to enter Safe Mode.

1) Back up entire video card driver

Before removing all VGA drivers, please back-up entire VGA driver in case you need 

current VGA back to work.
 

For

 On board video card

 

If you do not have drivers CD provided by motherboard manufacture,  

 

please check the motherboard manufacture’s website to download the  

 

driver.

 

For 

Individual Video card

 

If you do not have drivers CD provided by video card manufacture, please  

 

check VGA card manufacture’s website for driver; or check with  

 

 

www.ati.com or www.nvidia.com to download the latest driver version.

2) Disable on-board VGA under BIOS

With PCI VGA card installed and connected 

to a monitor, start your system into BIOS.

Please NOTE as each motherboard manu-

facturer utilizes a different BIOS, please 

check the manual for the exact way to 

access BIOS.

2-1) 

Turn on computer, hit the hot-key  

        (usually to be 

<Del>

 or 

<F10>

) once  

        your computer powers on to get into    

        BIOS screen.

2-2) 

Find on-board VGA card or  

 

         primary VGA section under BIOS,  

         disable on board video or select PCI as primary VGA adapter. (Please review 

         motherboard manual for further details).

2-3)

 Save and Exit

3) Remove entire VGA drivers under Safe Mode

3-1) 

Once system is into Safe Mode, click on 

Start -> Control Panel -> 

 

 

         

Add/Remove Programs

 to remove / un-install all display drivers and related  

         applications.

3-2)

 Restart system into regular mode.

4) Install PCI VGA driver

If driver CD does not auto run, then choose co-responding application/driver from 

My Computer > CD/DVD Rom.

  Once driver installed successfully, PCI VGA card shall 

work properly.
