Section 4. Maintenance

4.1. General Maintenance

Disconnect the hob from the electricity supply and ensure

that it has been allowed to completely cool down before
carrying out cleaning or maintenance.

Clean the ceram ic heat zones with warm soapy water or a

specialist ceram ic hob cleaner.

Other than m aintaining the appliance in a clean working

condition, there is no other ‘user’ m aintenance that needs to
be carried out.

4.2. What to do if something goes wrong

Before contacting our service help line, please check the
following points:

There is no power to the appliance:



Check that there is not a power cut



Check that there is power to the ‘cooker’ socket and
appliance



Check that the circuit fuse/trip switch has not
blown/tripped

If after the abo ve checks there is still a fault contact the

In-guarantee custom ers should ensure that the above checks
have been m ade as the engineer will m ake a charge if the
fault is not the result of a m echanical or electrical breakdown.
The m odel and serial num ber together with details of your
sales receipt m ust be quoted when booking an in-guarantee
service call.
