Take time to familiarize yourself with the use and maintenance of this equipment before using. Please file
this Instruction Sheet in an accessible location: the Instruction Sheet must be read and familiar to anyone
who is using Southpaw Enterprises Equipment.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
One of the long sides of the slip cover is a hook-and-loop closure. Open this side of the cover and place your existing
weighted blanket or blankets (up to four will fit) inside of the slip cover. Re-attach the hook-and-loop closure. Your
blanket is now ready to use.
Note: To make placing multiple blankets inside the slip cover easier, we
recommend that you stack the blankets together first, then put them into the slip cover.
MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST
All of the following wear points should be checked on a monthly basis and recorded on the checklist enclosed:

Check for torn cover or ripped seams. If found discontinue use until repaired.
•
Check the hook and loop fasteners to make sure they are securely attached. If loose stitching is found,
discontinue use until repaired.
MATTING PRECAUTIONS

ALWAYS USE APPROPRIATE MATTING.
STORAGE PROCEDURES
•
Store out of direct sunlight
•
Store where not accessible by clients without proper supervision
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
•
CHECK CLIENTS FOR ALLERGIES FIRST.
•
CHECK WITH YOUR INFECTIOUS DISEASE DEPARTMENT BEFORE USING THESE PROCEDURES.

DO NOT DRY CLEAN
•
REMOVE WEIGHTED BLANKETS FROM THE SLIP COVER BEFORE WASHING
•
MACHINE WASH COLD WATER MILD DETERGENT
•
AIR DRY OR TUMBLE DRY
LOW HEAT
BEFORE USING - THE “SOFT” SIDE OF THE BLANKET OR VELCRO
MAY BE DAMAGED WITH MEDIUM - OR HIGH HEAT
Fabric is not certified fire retardant. Keep away from open
flame or cigarettes. Do not place on radiators, or heaters.
