Using the MixPre-6 with iOS Devices
The size and portability of the MixPre-6 make it ideal for use with mobile
iOS devices, such as iPhones or iPads.
To attach the MixPre-6 to an iOS Device:
1. Screw an iPhone (or iPad) mount accessory to the top panel of the
MixPre-6.
2. Screw in any hand-held wand or tripod to the bottom of the MixPre-6.
3.
Connect the iOS device to the USB-A port on the left panel of the
MixPre-6.

On the iOS device, set it to external USB audio.

have been factory certified as functionally equivalent to new parts.

Enabling Bluetooth on MixPre-6 for Wingman
The MixPre-6 has built-in Bluetooth Smart
®
functionality that allows for remote control and
monitoring from the Wingman
™
app.
Sound Devices Wingman, which is a free download from Google Play
and Apple’s App Store, is a wireless interface that gives users touch-
screen access to monitor meters, start and stop recordings, and edit
filenames and metadata on the MixPre-6 directly from any Android
mobile device running Android 5.0 or later, as well as any iPad, iPhone
or iPod Touch device running iOS 8.0 or later.
To turn on Bluetooth on the MixPre-6:
1. Tap .

Tap System > Bluetooth. Options include Off and On.
