Basic Operations

Recording an optional 

component to an SD card/

USB device

Before recording, check the following.

 Connect the optional component.

 Turn the optional component on.

 Adjust the volume of the optional 

component.

 The SD card (or USB device) is usable 

with the unit. (page 6)

 There is sufficient capacity on the SD 

card/USB device.

Perform the following to check the 

capacity.

1.  Press MENU.

2.  Press 



 until “SD” or “USB” 

appears, then press ENTER.

3.  Press 



 until “Recordable Time” 

appears, then press ENTER.

  Connect the AUDIO IN jack to the 

line output jack of the portable 
digital music player or other 
components using an audio 
connecting cable (not supplied).

Use a cable that has a stereo mini plug 

on one end for connection to this unit, 

and a suitable plug for connection to the 

external device.
