“Memory Stick”
Strange sound
The TV cabinet creaks.
• Changes in room temperature sometimes causes the TV
cabinet to expand or contract, which can make slight
noises. This does not indicate a malfunction.
The TV ticks.
• An electrical circuit inside the TV is activated when the
TV is turned on. This does not indicate a malfunction.
The TV buzzes.
• There might be a surge sound when turning on the TV.
This does not indicate a malfunction.
Remote control does not function.
• Check that the remote control is set correctly for the
device you are using (VCR, TV, or DVD).
• If the remote control does not operate the VCR or DVD
even when the remote control has been set correctly to
VCR or DVD, enter the necessary code set as explained
in “Remote Control Configuration for VCR/DVD”
(page 62).
• Replace the batteries.
The
/
(Standby/Sleep) indicator
on the TV flashes.
• Refer to “Self-diagnosis function” (page 66) and contact
your nearest Sony service center.

Cannot insert the “Memory Stick”
into the “Memory Stick” slot.
• The “Memory Stick” is not facing in the correct
direction. Insert the “Memory Stick” with the

facing forward into the “Memory Stick” slot (page 49).
Cannot delete a file or all materials.
• The write-protect switch on the “Memory Stick” is set
to LOCK. Release the lock.
• The image file is protected. Release the protection using
the index Screen.
The still image files in the JPEG
format stored in a “Memory Stick”
cannot be displayed.
• Select “Option” in the Memory Stick Home and select
“File.” Then set “Filter” to “Still” or “Off” (page 51).
The moving image files in the MPEG1
format stored in a “Memory Stick”
cannot be displayed.
• Select “Option” in the Memory Stick Home and select
“File.” Then set “Filter” to “Movie” or “Off” (page 51).
The image is not displayed and
