This software allows high-precision digital importing,
editing and exporting of movies in various formats.
You can import movies from DV or MICRODV
Handycams* by simply connecting and using the one
click button. Imported scenes can be cut and
connected, or edited further via Adobe

Premiere
®
Standard and Sony’s VAIO Edit Components ver. 4.2
plug-in. Then export your edited movies to a DV or
MICROMV Handycam* (MPEG1 and MPEG2 file export
also possible). DVgate Plus ver. 1.3 also supports
multiple channels (4ch DV-AVI capture, 4ch/5.1ch
DV-AVI output, etc.) for dynamic surround sound.
Simply by connecting your VAIO with your digital
camera via USB cable, or inserting Memory Stick
media, you can automatically import photos to
VAIO’s hard drive. Since photos are displayed as
thumbnails on the screen, browsing is a breeze. You
can also create a photo album in three steps with
Photo Album, then print it out or save it as a PDF file
and attach it to email. Or write and draw on your
photos, place your photos in chronological order with
Calendar View, create screensavers and slideshows
with background music, and much more.

art image editing tools free you to explore your
creativity. Using a set of flexible image capture
options, you can create a totally original look with the

SonicStage
This music mastering software lets you import
analogue stereo music from records and cassettes
(Roland EDIROL AUDIO capture UA-5* USB audio
interface device required), edit the music, and write
optimised CDs. You can also save edited music as
WAV files and make high-quality CDs from MP3 files.
It includes Super Bit Mapping, support for recording
in a 24bit/96KHz sampling mode, and five high-
performance effector modules. These modules
function as an audio filter, with convenient presets,
that can be enjoyed when playing any sound
from VAIO.

First, download or record music easily from the
Internet or CDs on your hard disk. Then search, sort
and play back music conveniently with My Library.
(SonicStage supports popular ATRAC3, ATRAC3plus,
WMA, MP3, and WAV formats.) And when you want
your music “to go”, create original compilation CDs in
MP3 or ATRAC3 format as well as standard audio
CDs on your VAIO. You can also copy music into
MiniDisk (MD)** media quickly and easily, thanks to
SonicStage support of the Net MD standard.

videos. Just place visual materials along a timeline
window, then drag and drop to rearrange them. Add
titles and subtitles with scrolling effects, and add

in for Premiere — VAIO Edit Components ver. 4.2,
which supports multiple channels (4ch DV-AVI

as sparkles and flames that convincingly move

tracks simply by arrow key, search refinement menu, or
album jacket image. You can enlarge thumbnail photos

network without opening other applications. What’s
more, SonicStage Mastering Studio Audio Filter can
enhance sound quality for exceptional audio and
video pleasure.
This software lets you share AV content like music,
photo, and video files on your home network. From
the VAIO model or PC (with VAIO Media installed) set
up in your living room, for instance, enjoy AV files
stored on the VAIO model in the den without moving
