Using Your VAIO Computer
Setting Up TV Connections
!
The following connections may not be available in some countries or areas.
The best method to connect your computer system, TV monitor or display, and cable service access, depends on the type of
cable connection available in your home.
TV signal reception strength will vary widely depending on service availability in your area as well as the type of connection
available.
One primary cable to connect the computer to a cable service access or a TV antenna is the TV coaxial cable (1). One end
connects to the computer's
VHF/UHF
input port, and the other end connects to the cable service access or to the antenna.
Note that only one TV coaxial cable is supplied with models with the TV turner board.
If your computer is not equipped with the
VHF/UHF
input port and is delivered with an external digital cable tuner, see the
manual that came with the tuner for the detailed instructions on cable connection. Otherwise, proceed with the following.
✍
You need to remove the back panel cover from the computer before setting up TV connections. See
Removing and Replacing the Back Panel Cover
for the procedure.
