A PC Card enables you to connect devices such as an optical drive, floppy disk drive, or Network Interface Card (NIC). See

Computer Specifications for the type of PC Card that is compatible with your computer. Your computer includes
one or more PC Card slots. These slots are compatible with CardBus. If your computer has more than one PC Card slot, use
the lower slot for Type III PC Cards. You do not need to turn off your computer to insert or remove a PC Card.
