Remote Control

The remote supplied with the DHC-MD5 can
operate the tape deck.

This system is equipped with

The TC-TX5 tape deck is
designed only for the
DHC-MD5 component
system

Here are some of the features you can use
with this tape deck when connected with the
DHC-MD5 Mini Hi-Fi component system.

Auto Power On/Off

Turning on/off the tape deck is synchronized
with the DHC-MD5 component system (see
page 5).

Pressing the

 or 

ª

 on the tape deck turns

the power on.

CD Synchro Recording

You can record a CD to a cassette with easy
operation (see page 7).

One Touch Play

Pressing 

·

 or 

ª

 on the tape deck when the

power is off automatically turns the power on
and starts tape playback if there is a cassette
in the deck (see page 6).

Automatic Source Selection

You can switch from another source to the
tape deck and start playing a cassette just by
pressing 

·

 or 

ª

 on the tape deck (see page

6).

Timer

You can wake up to music or record a radio
programme at a preset time.  For detail, refer
to the sections “Waking up to music” and
“Timer-recording radio programmes” in the
instructions manual of the DHC-MD5
component system.

However, perform the following settings on
the tape deck.
• DOLBY NR (B-type)

Do not install the appliance in a confined space,
such as a bookcase or built-in cabinet.

  WARNING

To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not
expose the unit to rain or moisture.

To avoid electrical shock, do not open the cabinet.
Refer servicing to qualified personnel only.
