How to Use the Recording and Playback Operation
Buttons
Button
Function when pressed alone
Function when pressed with FUNC
button
STOP button
Stops the recording and playback
operation.
If pressed during Standby Off mode,
the unit enters Standby On mode.
If pressed during the STOP or REC
PAUSE state, the unit enters Standby
Off mode.
PLAY button and indicator
Starts playback. (The indicator is lit
during playback.)
To start recording, press this button
while holding down the REC button.
(The indicator blinks if the recording
and playback operations are not
locked.)
To move to the last frame of the
currently playing file, press this
button while holding down the
F FWD button.
The immediately preceding recording
plays (REC REVIEW).
REC button and indicator
To start recording, press the PLAY
button while holding down this
button. (The indicator is lit during
recording.)
If pressed during Standby Off mode
while recording is stopped, the unit
enters Standby On mode.
If you press this button during
playback or during a search, the
system enters E-E mode

and you
can monitor the E-E signal

output
from the F65.
Sets a MARK IN point in the file being
recorded or played.
REW button and indicator
(PREV)
Moves to the beginning of the current
file.
If this button is pressed when at the
beginning of the file, moves to the
beginning of the previous file.
Tip
The SYSTEM Setup menu >PB
FUNCTION >NEXT/PREV setting
determines whether MARK IN points
are included in this function.
Executes a reverse direction search.

With each press, the search speed
changes in the order of x2

If a search is interrupted by another
operation, the next search is performed
at the speed in effect at the time of the
interruption.
