Operating Instructions
Recording a greeting
If you do not wish to use the prerecorded greeting,
you can record your own greeting.
1 Press
flash/program
and

continuously
with the receiver placed on the base
phone.
A voice guide is heard.
2 Pick up the receiver and after you hear a
beep, speak in to the microphone.
3 Press
flash/program
or
play/stop
, or return
the receiver to the base phone.
The recorded greeting is played back after a beep.
To play back the recorded greeting
Press
message
to turn on the answering machine.
To erase the recorded greeting

Press
erase
while the greeting is played back.

Press
erase
again.
You will hear a confirmation beep.
Selecting the greeting
You can select either the prerecorded greeting or
your own greeting.

select the desired greeting.

Notes
• If you have not recorded your own greeting, the
prerecorded greeting will be heard.
• Even if “0” is selected in step 2, “1” will be selected
automatically when you record your own greeting.
Changing the number of rings
The answering machine is factory-set so that it
answers a call after about 5 rings when there is no
message and about 2 rings when messages have been
recorded.
You can select the number of rings between 2 to 9.

To resume the factory setting

Erasing messages
The total recording time of this answering machine is
approximately 10 minutes including the greeting and
messages or up to 20 messages. When no more
recordings can be made, the memory is full. Erase
some of the messages.
You can erase all the messages at one time or erase
messages one by one.
Notes
• You cannot erase a message until you play it back once.
• You cannot erase messages from the handset.
