Parts
A
Battery release button
Releases the battery pack. Keep this button
pressed and slide out to remove the battery
pack.

Battery slot
Mount the battery pack here.
C
BATTERY indicator
Flashes at 1-second intervals when
remaining battery capacity is low. Flashes
at 0.5-second intervals when remaining
battery capacity declines further to the point
where the unit cannot operate.

D
POWER indicator
Lights in green when the unit is powered on.

E
ACCESS indicator
Lights in orange while the HDD is being
accessed.
For more information on this indication, see “Status
Indications” (page 24).
F
DC IN (DC power input) connector
Supply power to this unit by connecting the
DC power output cord that is supplied with
the BC-U1 or BC-U2 battery charger.
Attach the protective cover when this
connector is not in use.
G
Power switch
Power the unit on by pressing the switch for
about three seconds. Power the unit off in
the same way, by pressing the switch for
about three seconds.
H
USB connector
Connect to the camcorder or recorder using
the PHU connection cable. Also, connect to
video editing equipment using a USB cable.
I
DRIVE SELECT switch/indicator
Selects the drive (A, B or C) that the
camcorder records to or plays back from
when using the unit in [73GB×3] mode.
The indicator for the selected drive will be
lit.
