Connecting peripheral devices

To connect a MiniDisc deck to your notebook, proceed as follows:
1
Plug one end of the CONTROL A1 or CONTROL A1 II cable (1) to the CONTROL A1 or CONTROL A1 II
connector (2) on your MiniDisc deck.

Plug the other end to the serial connector (3) on your notebook.

Plug one end of the optical cable to the digital optical output/input on your CD player and the other end
to the digital optical output/input on your MiniDisc.
4
Turn on all the devices.

Launch MD Player.
Refer to your MiniDisc deck and CD player manuals to check the specifications.

To perform a copy using your notebook, you need two CONTROL A1 or CONTROL A1 II cables and one optical cable. These cables are sold separately.

The CONTROL A1 or CONTROL A1 II features only work with Sony devices.
