The remote is set to control your TV.
For operation of the TV, see “Operating TVs
with the remote” on page 31.
Notes
• If more than one code number is listed, try entering
them one at a time until you find the one that works
with your TV.
• Depending on the TV, you may not be able to control
with some or all of the buttons.
• If you enter a new code number, the code number
previously entered will be erased.
• When you replace the batteries of the remote, the code
number may be reset to the default setting. Set the
appropriate code number again.
Operating the Sony DVDs or Sony
VCRs with the remote

Select the component that you want to
operate by pressing DVD or VIDEO (input
select button).
DVD (page 32): DVD recorder (When you
connect the Sony component other than Sony
DVD recorder, set the component code
(page 34).)
VIDEO (page 33): VCR

component.

• You can control Sony products only.
• Depending on the component, you may not be able to
use some or all of the buttons below.
• When operating, see also the operating instructions
supplied with the component.
DVD (Sony products only)
Note
To operate a component other than a DVD recorder, set
the component code (page 34).
