2-4. Precaution on Replacing the Lens Assy
When replacing the following part, perform the “Shims Selection and Replacement” and “Photographic Resolving Power
Check” .
• LSV-1820A Lens Device (Service)
2-4-1. Shims Selection and Replacement
When attaching the CMOS Assy (Imager) to the lens, the CMOS Assy (Imager) is made the tilt adjustment by the shims.
For this reason, when replacing the lens, replace the shims which are matched to the specification of the lens.
When replacing the lens or removing the CMOS Assy (Imager) from the lens Assy, perform following work.
The case of work not to change a lens
Example: Disintegrate and clean, when replacing the CMOS Assy (Imager) and so on.

Check and memorize the size of the three shims attached (three portions) and store them.
2. When assembling, attach three shims to the original positions.
Note
In case the shim was lost or mounting location of the shim was lost, replace the LSV-1820A Lens Device (Service).
The case of work to change a lens
1. Check the shims data seal attached to LSV-1820A Lens Device (Service). Memorize the shims information (six
digits alphabet).
