Symptoms and remedies
If you experience any of the following difficulties, use this table to help you
remedy the problem. Should any problem persist, contact the AIBO Customer
Link (page 8).
Symptom Cause/Remedy
AIBO does not move.
AIBO has been picked up from the floor or an
object is caught in one of AIBO’s joints.
c Place AIBO on the floor and push the tail
switch towards AIBO’s head for three
seconds. AIBO stops moving whenever it is
picked up from the floor (the mode indicator
lights up) or an object is caught in one of
AIBO’s joint (the mode indicator flashes).
The battery pack is drained.
c Charge the battery pack (page 30). When the
battery pack is completely drained, the back
light turns off and AIBO stops moving.
AIBO’s ear came off. c Align the center of AIBO’s microphone with
the center of the ear hole, and then insert the
tabs on the back of AIBO’s ear into the
grooves on both sides of the microphone until
the ear snaps into place.
