How to connect
Connect the unit and controller as shown in the illustration below.
Caution
• When you connect or disconnect the controller, turn off power to the unit (keep it in standby mode). If the power is left on, it
may result in damage to the unit or the controller.
• When turning on the unit, be sure to use the supplied AC adaptor.
Turning on the unit

Connect the AC power cord to the AC adaptor, and connect the AC adaptor to the
rear of the unit.

Insert the power plug into an electrical outlet.
The power indicator on the unit turns orange, and the unit enters standby mode.

Press the on/standby button on the unit.
The power indicator on the unit turns green.

Press the drive select button on the unit, and select which drive to use.
The selected drive’s indicator turns orange.

Slide the power/hold switch on the controller to the up position.
The power indicator on the controller turns green, and the menu screen is displayed within seconds.
