Notes on installation
.
The ENC-49 board and DEC-104 board must be installed in the slots for extension (ISA slot) of
personal computer. It means that the personal computer having the two full-size ISA slots must be
used.

The ENC-49 board and DEC-104 board use No. 11 IRQ (Interrupt Request) of the personal computer.
It means that the personal computer must have configuration in which IRQ11 can be used from the ISA
extension board.

After installation, connect the ENC-49 board and DEC-104 board with the flat cable supplied with the
DVA-P1100.

Required conditions of a personal computer to install the DVA-P1100 are as follows.

Satisfies the operating conditions of Windows NT Workstation 4.0 (English version).

A personal computer must have two or more un-used full-size ISA slots.
3
IRQ11 must be used by the ISA extension board.
Installation Procedure

Be sure to unplug the personal computer before starting installation.
Note that some circuits inside the personal computer will stay electrically alive even after turning off the
power switch: there is a danger of electrical shock.
1.
Turn off the main power of the personal computer, and unplug the appliance from the outlet.
2.
Remove the cabinet and slot cover of the ISA slots.
3.
Insert the DVA-P1100 into the extension ISA slots. Fix the board panel with screws.

The connector panel of the DVA-P1100 may be distorted if it collides with the inside of the personal
computer while installing and removing the board. Be careful to avoid such collisions.
4.
Connect the ENC-49 board and the DEC-104 board with the supplied flat cable (length : 5 cm).

Fold the cable so as not to be pinched when the cabinet is attached.
5.
Re-attach the cabinet to the personal computer, and insert the power plug to the outlet.
6.
Turn on the power of the personal computer, and perform the PnP (Plug and Play) setting so that
IRQ11 can be used by the ISA bus.

Use the BIOS Setup or ICU (ISA Configuration Utility) software for this setting.
(When ICU is used, memories and DMAs other than IRQ are not necessary to be set.)
Refer to operation manual of the personal computer that is used, for the above described setting.
Removal procedure
Remove the DVA-P1100 by reversing the installation procedure from steps 1 to 5.
