Host interface

Ultra 160 LVD/SE SCSI
SCSI Parallel Interface – 3 (SPI-3) [ANSI NCITS.336:2000]

Notes

• SCSI Terminator

The BW-F101 only supports shielded connectors. The
drive has no internal SCSI bus terminator, therefore when
the drive is connected at the end of a SCSI configuration,
it is necessary to connect an active terminator that
complies to the SPI3: ANSI NCITS.336:2000
specification to either end of the cable.

• SCSI Cable

You can use a 68-signal conductor flat cable, or a 34-
signal twisted cable as the LVD/SE cable.
To achieve a high transfer rate, the total length of SCSI
cables should not exceed 6 m in an SE (single-ended)
configuration. In an LVD configuration, the total length
should be less than 12 m (39.4 ft.).
