To Enable the Optional Function by Purchasing a
License
You can use optional functions by purchasing a
license and installing the license file. Before
performing this operation, purchase a license in
advance and obtain the purchase code.
Note
For details on how to purchase a license, contact a
distributor.
Perform operations of steps 1 and 3 on the
Administrator menu of the camera. For step 2,
access the designated website using a web browser
and follow on screen instructions.

Access the device on which you use
optional functions, and check the Device
unique ID on the [Option] tab in the
[System] under the Administrator setting
menu.

Access “Upgrade and License Management
Suite” using a web browser.

Device unique ID you checked in step 1.

Perform the following operations on the
[Option] tab in the [System] under the
Administrator setting menu.
3-1 Click [Choose File] on [License file] and
select the license file downloaded in step
2-2. (installation key: RQ_LIC.DAT)
3-2 When the dialog pops up, click [OK], and
upload the license file.
3-3 Confirm that the [4K option] status is
displayed as [Enable].
Note
You cannot install the license file if the Device
unique ID used to issue the file does not match
the one of the devices in which you install the
license file. Be sure to enter the Device unique ID
of the device on which you use optional
functions.
Setting the Camera Image
― Video Menu
Picture tab
You can configure the settings from the OSD
menu. For details, see “EXPOSURE Menu”
(page 33), “COLOR Menu” (page 35), “DETAIL
Menu” (page 37), “KNEE Menu (BRC-X400/X401)”
(page 38), “GAMMA/VISIBILITY ENHANCER Menu
(BRC-X400/X401)” (page 38), “VISIBILITY
ENHANCER Menu (SRG-X400/X402/201M2/
X120/HD1M2)” (page 39), or “PICTURE/OPTICAL
FILTER Menu” (page 41).
Export/Import (Picture setting file)
You can export the picture settings of the camera
as a picture setting file, or import picture setting
files saved in the computer to reflect them on the
camera. See “Preset Items and Image Setting File
Items” (page 96) for items you can export or
import by picture setting files.
Export picture setting file
Export the current picture setting information as a
picture setting file to the computer. The dialog to
select the destination appears by clicking [Export].
Select the destination to export the picture setting
file.
Import picture setting file
Reflect the picture setting file on the camera by
importing the file saved in the computer. The dialog
appears by clicking [Choose File]. Select the file.
After selecting the file, click [OK] on the pop-up
screen to reflect the settings on the camera, and
then the Picture tab will be reloaded.
Keep current picture settings after
reboot
Save to Preset 1
The picture setting registered to Preset 1 is applied
to the camera when you turn it on. After importing
the picture setting file, or after changing the picture
setting on the Menu, click [Save] to register the
setting to Preset 1.
Notes
• The items to be saved are the contents of
picture setting files imported in advance and
the items changed on the Picture tab
afterward.
• You cannot import/export picture setting files
from the OSD menu.
