Installation
Installation on a microphone stand
1) For details, refer to the Operating Instructions for the corresponding device.
2) Use a 50-ohm cable (at least RG-212/U).
Precautions
• Always use two or more AN-820A units in pairs, installing each pair of units at least 1 m
(3 feet) apart.
• Make sure the units installed are visible from where the wireless microphone or transmitter
is used.
• Avoid installing the units:
- near a window or metal paneling
- immediately adjacent to electrical equipment, which may produce RF interference
- where they are vulnerable to physical damage.
• Use as short coaxial cable as possible.
• When this unit is connected to a device that is capable of setting the gain, the approximate
coaxial cable length for 18-dB gain operation is as follows:
- 50m (150 feet) or more (when the RG-212/U is used)
- 60m (180 feet) or more (when the RG-213/U is used)
Note, however, that excessive gain may result depending on the conditions of use. Be sure
to set the gain after checking the operation of the antenna.
