METABONES ADAPTER
Your kit includes a Metabones adapter that allows you to use
Canon EF lenses with the Sony A7S II.
How to Mount Your Lens
1. Dismount the base lens that comes with the kit, and set it
aside.
2. Before mounting your Canon lens, make sure there is a
battery in your camera.
3. Turn the camera body ON. It is important to do this before
mounting anything.
4. Attach the Metabones adapter to the Canon lens (align the
dots).
5. Locate this button on the side of the Metabones adapter.
6. Hold the button down as you mount it to your Sony camera
body (align the dots).
The camera should display an F-stop value on the bottom of
the screen if properly mounted. If improperly mounted, you will
see “F--.”
Troubleshooting
If the camera is not reading the new lens, and you cannot adjust
your iris (use the front dial), try dismounting and remounting
the Canon lens from the Metabones adapter (which should
stay attached to the camera body).
