OPERATION
•
Insert the microphone into the calibrator’s microphone cavity; ensure
that is fully inserted. If calibrated microphone has diameter other than
1”, use proper adapter (R10-1/2” for ½“ microphone, R10-1/4 for ¼“
microphone). Adapters are designed to ensure, that effective load
volume does not change more than
±
100mm
3
.
•
Turn on the calibrator (time of stabilization is about 10 seconds).
4
•
Adjust the sensitivity of measuring equipment, as explained in it’s
instruction manual. During adjustment of equipment with free field
microphones, equipment indication should be set to 93.6dB (for 1”
microphone), 93.85dB (for ½“ microphone) or 94.0dB (for ¼“
microphone).
•
Adjustment should not be done, when environmental noise exceeds
85dB.
•
Turn off the calibrator.
RECOMENDATIONS FOR INSTRUMENT USE
Generated signal lasts in tolerance limits only when power signaling
diode lights. If diode does not light, after turning on the calibrator, the
battery should be replaced.
Discharged battery should be removed from calibrator. If instrument
will not be used by long time, the battery should be also removed.
5
To replace battery, twist off bottom part of calibrator housing.
