Operational Specification
Group/Studio Assignment
The MPPRs are normally assigned as a studio to a group and that studio is
closely aligned with a gallery which contains a Mix Engine and 1 or 2
MPTRs. To ‘move’ a studio from one gallery to another, the user will need to
de-allocate the group from one Mix Engine and assign it to another. The
Grab function does this automatically, though in a managed system it would
be good practice to release a group from one Mix Engine before grabbing it
in another.
To do this Mix Engine that has current ownership of the group will need to
relinquish that control by entering the menu or web page on a MPTR (or
Mix Engine) and going to the Assignment. Select the group to be released
and allow it to be de-assigned. Now the other gallery MPTR (or Mix Engine)
can perform a similar function, but this time select the group and grab it.
