Dimmer Operation –
There is a 2-level brightness control for the LED display. Press the
SNOOZE
button (8)
once toggle between bright and dim.
*NOTE*: The dimmer function will not work, when the clock is in snooze mode.

Test Mode -
1) Slide the SETTING Switch (1) to TIME position, press the
SNOOZE button (8)
for 3 seconds to enter the Test Mode. The display will show "7ES7" to indicate
it is in TEST Mode.
2) If within 1 minute no button is pressed, then it will exit the Test Mode and return
back to the Time Mode.
3) Press any button within 1 minute (except the Snooze buttons, which has no
effect), it will exit the Test Mode immediately.
4) While in Test Mode, sliding the
Alarm Option Switch (2)
will demonstrate the
different functions of the clock:
a) Alarm Option Switch at BUZZ, it will demonstrate the buzzer sound.
b) Alarm Option Switch at VIB, it will demonstrate the vibrator.
c) Alarm Option Switch at VIB & BUZZ, it will demonstrate the buzzer
sound & the vibrator.
5) After finish with the Test Mode, press any button (except the Snooze buttons,
which has no effect) it will exit the Test Mode immediately.
Adjusting The Alarm Duration Time –
The default alarm duration time setting is 30 minutes; you may adjust the alarm
duration between 1minute and 59 minutes as desired. To adjust the alarm
duration:

then press the
SNOOZE
Slide the
SETTING Switch (1)
to ALARM position,
button (8)
for 6 seconds. The clock display will show the default alarm duration
as '30'. Release the
AL set button
.
* Press the
MIN button (7)
to adjust the alarm duration to the desired setting,
from 1 minute to 59 minutes.
* When the display is showing the desired alarm duration time, it will return to the
normal clock mode after 3 seconds. The new alarm duration time setting
becomes the new default and remains in the memory until you change it again.
Setting the correct time -
1) Slide the Setting switch (1) to "
TIME
" position.
2) Depress
Hour button (6)
as necessary to advance the clock display until the
hour is correct. Depress
Minute button (7)
as necessary to advance the
clock display until the minute is correct.
3) Slide the
Setting switch (1)
to the position marked "
LOCK
" this will prevent
the clock time from being changed.
IMPORTANT- Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain for
future reference. See operating instructions on back.
Warning: To prevent fire or shock hazard do not expose this appliance to rain or
moisture. Before connecting to mains make sure that the requirements
specified on the apparatus corresponds to the available power supply
i.e. AC100V-240V (50Hz/60Hz)
To Play Radio-
1) Slide the
Function Switch (11)
to "ON" position to turn on the radio.
2) Use rotary Volume wheel (10) and turn to desired listening level.
3) Tune radio station by turning the
Tuning Dial (12)
to desired radio frequency.
Radio Reception-
For best reception unwind wire Antenna cord (15)
to its full length . Make
sure the radio isn't near any electrical appliances that may cause interference.
Shutting Off Alarm-
Alarm can be shut off temporary for the day or permanently shut off.
1) When the alarm goes off, simply press the
AL Off button (9)
the alarm will
shut itself off for the day and come back on the next day at the same time
if alarm setting has not changed
2) To shut the alarm off permanently, slide
Function switch (11)
to OFF
position. The alarm will not come on until
Function Switch (11)
is set to
"AUTO" or "BUZZ" position again.
Enable the Alarm -
To enable the alarm function, slide the
Function switch (11)
to position
marked "BUZZ" OR “AUTO”.
“BUZZ” – Wake to buzzer,
“AUTO” - Wake to radio
Volume-
To adjust the volume, rotate the Volume wheel (10) located on front top right
side.
Battery Backup-
To use battery backup, you can install a 9-volt alkaline battery in the back
of the clock located under the
Battery cover (16)
. Please note the LED
display will be off during power failure but the clock will still be running and
keeping proper time until the power comes back. Battery not included.
DC9V Power Input -
Attach the DC power supply input to the back of clock at
DC9V IN (14)
next to
the
VIBRATOR input(13)
, smaller input of the two. Important do not confuse
the DC input with vibrator input.
Bed Shaker / Vibrator- Figure B
1) Attach the bed shaker jack to the back of clock at
VIBRATOR input (13)
.
2) To turn on vibrator, slide
Alarm Option switch (2)
to VIB or VIB/BUZZ
position.
3) Place vibrator under mattress or pillow.
Snooze Operation –
1. When the alarm is on, you may press the
SNOOZE Button (8)
to stop the
alarm temporarily. The alarm will shut off for 9 minutes or for the selected
predetermined time from 1-30 minutes, and then turn on again. The snooze
operation may be repeated indefinitely until the alarm is turned off.
Selecting 12 or 24 hours format
–
– the clock is set to 12 hour for UK, USA; and the clock is set to 24 hour for
Europe.
Slide the
Setting switch (1)
to LOCK position, press the
Hour Button (6)
for 6
seconds to enter the hour selection mode, the display shows "12 H" or "24 H".
A short press of the Hour Button (6) to toggle between 12 or 24 hours.
If no selection is made within 4 seconds, then the last displayed hour format will
be chosen and the display will return to the normal Time mode.
Setting the alarm time -
1) Slide the Setting switch (1) to ALARM position, the Alarm indicator (3) will
light up to indicate the alarm has been enabled.
2) Depress
Hour button (6)
as necessary to advance the clock display until the
hour is correct. Depress
Minute button (7)
as necessary to advance the
clock display until the minute is correct.
3) Slide the
Setting switch (1)
to the position marked
"LOCK"
this will prevent
the alarm time from being changed.
Adjusting The Snooze Time –
The default snooze time setting is 9 minutes but you may adjust the
snooze time between 1 minute and 30 minutes as desired. To adjust the
snooze time:

Slide the
SETTING Switch (1)
to LOCK position,
the
SNOOZE Button (8)
for 4 seconds. The clock display will show the
default snooze time '9'. Release the Snooze button.
* Press the
Minute Button (7)
to adjust the snooze time to the desired
setting, from 1 minute to 30 minutes.
* When the display is showing the desired snooze time, it will return to the
normal clock mode after 3 seconds. The new snooze time setting
becomes the new default and remains in the memory until you change it
again.
Sleep Timer Operation-
1) You may use the
Sleep function (5)
to have the radio on while you go to
sleep. It will automatically shut itself off after the specified time.
2) Make sure the
Function Switch (11)
is NOT set to "ON" otherwise sleep
function will not work and the radio will play continuously.
3) Press
Sleep button (5)
and radio will play for two hour. You can also set
sleep timer for other lengths of shut off time.
4) To set other length of sleep time, press the
Sleep button (5)
once to reduce
the sleep time by 10 minutes. This action can be repeated until the desired
sleep time is required.
Alarm Option -
Once the alarm time is set, different alarm option can be selected.
Use the
Alarm option switch (2)
to select different alarm option:
a) set to VIB for bed shaker
b) BUZZ for sound
c) VIB/BUZZ for both.

The Sonic Boom Alarm Clock is warranted against manufacturing defects in
materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase.
Within this period Sonic Alert will repair or replace at our option without charge for
parts and labor. Simply contact our customer service department to obtain an RA
(return authorization) number and instructions on how to process your product
for return. Call 1-888-864-2446 or e-mail to [email protected]. You'll need a
copy of your receipt to process the return authorization.
