INSTALLATION
The HS 90 wireless camera set requires no cables and you can receive a clear image from the remote camera within a range of approximately 100 meters. The
system can be extended by up to 3 additional cameras (product code of camera recommended by SOMOGY ELEKTRONIC: HS 91), allowing you to monitor more
than one room. With the InfraLED’s the system is able to show a clear image of the area in front of the camera even in darkness.
Place the camera at the desired location, preferably close to a network socket to be able to plug in the adapter. The camera can be
hung from the wall, or placed on top of a table, cupboard etc. The camera’s position can be adjusted as desired with the twisting and
tilting stand.
The sender and receiver can communicate over 4 different noise-free channels. The desired channel can be selected with a sliding
switch on the back of the camera, and by using the 4 switches CH1 through CH4 on the front of the monitor.
Plug the camera’s network adapter output into the socket on the back of the camera, and plug the adapter into the network. Press the
switch-on button on the top of the camera. When the camera is switched on, the LED indicator on the front is lit up green.
Connect the monitor’s adapter to the adapter output socket on the monitor, plug the adapter into the network and switch on the mo-
nitor. If you wish to show the image of only one camera, select the channel set on the camera using the channel selector buttons. If
you are connecting multiple cameras to the monitor, press the buttons corresponding to the desired channels. The monitor will keep
switching between the images at 8 second intervals.
Both the camera and the monitor have an antenna which can be turned within a 270 range. By adjusting the antenna, you can improve
reception. (Because the factors influencing reception vary for every room, you can only find the best position through experimenting.)
The device’s transmission range in an open area is 100m, which may be reduced in the presence of walls, reinforced concrete or
various objects.
The displayed image can be refined using the sharpness control on the camera, and the three controls (V-hold, contrast, brightness)
on the monitor. You can set the volume to the desired level using the volume control on the receiver.
There are audio and video outputs on the back of the monitor (Audio out, Video out). You can connect these to transmit the image
displayed by the monitor to any other AV device (television etc.) or recorder (VCR, DVD etc.).
You can use the monitor’s audio and video inputs (Audio IN, Video IN) to display the image and sound of a wired camera. In that case, set the switch on the back of
the monitor to the “WIRE” position, and connect the camera to the inputs. In this mode, the monitor cannot receive the image of a wireless camera.
WARNINGS
Do not expose the devices to direct sunlight, and mount them in a location where they are shielded from water.
The devices can only be used indoors in a dry environment.
Do not place the devices close to a magnetic field or electric appliances.
When mounting on the wall, be careful not to damage the wires that might run inside the wall.
If the camera and the monitor are close to one other (2-3 meters), the monitor might emit a high beeping sound if the volume is set to a high level.
Only use the included network adapters to power the devices.
It is normal for the adapters to warm up during operation. To avoid overheating, do not place them near a heater.
The transmission range is affected by the number of walls between the units, the material of these walls, and other metallic surfaces.
If possible, do not place the units close to large metallic objects (radiators, metal doors etc.).
Video and voice transmission can be disturbed by devices emitting electromagnetic and radio waves (e.g., a microwave oven, cell
phone etc.).
The devices operate on a free frequency, which means that anyone can use these channels, and other people are able to
receive the signal transmitted by the camera. Turn off the camera when not using it.
If you do not use the devices for a long time, unplug the adapters.
Clean with a soft, dry cloth; do not use aggressive detergents.
Never disassemble the device; consult a technician if repair is needed.
If the power cord is damaged, unplug the devices immediately and consult a technician.
