What to do?

If the recording was completed automatically, the device will switch itself off. If required, the recording
can be ended manually see chapter 4.2.6.
Use the black eject mechanism on the bottom of the device to remove the Compact Flash Card.
Never remove the card without using this button.
Insert the Compact Flash Card into the Compact Flash Card Reader.

Start the

DOMINO

software and select the Data Transfer

icon. The Recording Information will

be displayed. If required, enter a Description for this recording. If the

Auto-processing

checkbox is

selected, the recording will be downloaded and analysed automatically. To configure Auto-
Processing, click on the Configure Button. Here, it is possible to instruct the system to Analyse,
Display Report or Print the Report automatically after recording is downloaded.
Lastly, click on the

Transfer

button to download and process the recording.

4.2.9

Relevant information for Performing Measurements

The

SOMNOscreen™ plus provides several safety features. These will inform you of problems that

prevent a successful recording:

Insufficient capacity of the Rechargeable Battery

-

Compact Flash Card is Missing

-

Compact Flash Card Memory is insufficient for the programmed recording

-

A wrong montage was chosen

If any of these messages appear, use the following guide to correct the problem:

4.2.9.1 Insufficient Battery Capacity for the Programmed Duration

Display

Function

The capacity of the rechargeable battery is insufficient for the programmed
measurement. Select

MENU

on the display with S3

.

If

IGNORE

is selected with S3

, the system will recalculate the maximum

duration and display it.

OR:

OR:
If the Batteries capacity is less than 30%, a Recording will NOT be permitted.
The display will automatically change back to the Main Menu.

Switch off the device using the EXIT menu and confirm with S3

. Replace

the Battery with a fully charged one.

-

Open the Battery Compartment Cover and remove the battery. Insert it into the
Battery Charger.

Insert a fully charged battery into the device and start the recording again.

Please note:
When replacing the battery, only use batteries supplied by SOMNOmedics! If
alternative batteries are used, SOMNOmedics cannot guarantee error free
operation.
