Fixing the IP camera
We recommend that you install your IP camera:
■
■
in a room containing valuables,
■
■
in a place that everybody has to go past,
■
■
near a mains socket,
■
■
near your broadband router/modem if you don’t want to use Wi-Fi.
We also recommend that you do not point your IP camera at the public highway
or your neighbours.
The function and purpose of your IP camera is not to film the public highway or private
premises belonging to other people. It is therefore your responsibility to check the orientation
of your cameras to avoid such situations, which are covered by specific legal provisions and
in particular require a permit from the local authorities.
The camera is supplied with the mount and
extension fitted.
To remove the extension, unscrew it at both
ends.
Remove the mount and follow the instructions
below for mounting the camera on a wall or
shelf.
Wall or ceiling mounting
Unscrew the extension to release the baseplate from the
mount.
Using the screws supplied, secure the baseplate to a flat
surface (horizontal or vertical).
Secure the baseplate and, if necessary, the
extension.
Secure the camera, adjust the detection
angle and tighten the locking ring.
The mount is fitted with a cable clip for
securing the cables when the camera is
connected.
Shelf mounting
Position the clamp and tighten the clamping bolt firmly.
Fasten the camera’s locking ring to the clamp.
Adjust the camera so that its 47° detection angle covers the
desired view.
