GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT ICECRUSH
•
Ice can change the temperature and the taste of the drink.
•
Compared to their weight, ice cubes have a smaller surface than crushed ice,
causing them to melt more slowly. For this reason, some people like to add ice
cubes to their drinks after mixing them instead of before.
•
However, not only does crushed resp. blended ice cool the drink more quickly,
it also improves emulsification resp. amalgamation of the drink to one homo-
genous texture. In most cases, this has a positive impact on the taste.
•
When ice is included during blending, air and taste particles are blended more
evenly, giving the drink an all around better taste and more homogenous con-
sistency.
•
Thanks to the arrangement of the center blades, the ice cubes are pulled down-
wards and crushed there, while the longer blades ideally distribute and blend
the mixture in the jug while also removing clumps and aerating the mixture.
•
We recommend experimenting with the amount of ice cubes and finding out
for yourself what impact crushed ice has on the taste and consistency of your
drinks and smoothies.
