System Setup Chapter 4
For a static survey, complete the following steps:
1. Ensure you have the appropriate POWERUP configuration
loaded onto the receiver (see Chapter 6,
Collecting Data ,
page 48).
2. Mount the GSR2700 IS on the tripod.
NOTE Position the receiver with the GPS antenna up and the
mounting socket down.
3. Turn on the receiver (see Chapter 5, Basic Operations ,
page 42).
4. Check the memory gauge to verify that the receiver is
logging data (see Section 3.3.3,
Memory gauge , page 29 for
more information).
5. (Optional) If you wish to see the current position and satellite
tracking status, you can connect a data collector to the
receiver using a Bluetooth connection, or serial
communication via the receiver’s COM1 (blue) port.
