NSTALLATION
This chapter explains how to install the software and hardware
for the CF Card with
Bluetooth
Wireless Technology.
STEP 1: Install the Software
ADVANCED USERS: Refer to the README file for CAB installation
instructions.
Note: If your mobile computer has a built-in Bluetooth radio,
installing the software will disable the built-in radio. To re-
enable the built-in radio, you must remove the Socket Mobile
software by tapping Start | Settings | Remove Programs and using
the utility.
IMPORTANT!!! Follow these steps to install the software
BEFORE inserting the card.
1.
Use a serial/USB cable or cradle to make an active connection
between the mobile computer and a host PC.
•
If your host computer is running Windows Vista, use the
Windows Mobile Device Center.
•
If your host computer is running Windows 2000/XP,
ActiveSync 4.0 or greater is required for Windows Mobile
5.0 and ActiveSync 4.5 or greater is required for Windows
Mobile 6.

Insert the
Socket installation CD
into the host PC.
